Lower Minors Division (Ages 8–9)
The Lower Minors Division is for players league age 8–9 and introduces kid pitching for the first time. At the beginning of the season, coaches pitch to batters. After approximately 3–4 weeks, as players gain confidence and skill, they begin pitching during games.
Once a player pitcher reaches a designated pitch limit, the coach steps in to finish pitching to the current batter. The player pitcher then starts fresh with the next batter. Scores are kept during games, and the division is structured to prepare athletes for the increased competition and speed of Upper Minors.
